Carissa is a theatre director based on Gadigal Land, Sydney, Australia. She is currently a Resident Director at Belvoir.

 

Carissa graduated from NIDA’s MFA Directing Course in 2017 before becoming the inaugural Andrew Cameron Fellow at Belvoir in 2018-2019 and Associate Artist in 2021.

Her work as Director includes: for Belvoir, Scenes from the Climate Era, Opening Night (also Adaptor), A Room of One’s Own (also Co-Adaptor); for Malthouse, Anna K; for NIDA, Machinal; for 25A Downstairs Belvoir: Extinction of the Learned Response; The MaidsAs Associate Director for Belvoir, Into the Woods, Fangirls; as Assistant Director for Belvoir, Counting & Cracking; Ghosts.

Carissa is a recipient of NIDA’s Glorias Fellowship.
